Plot Overview

Madge shuddered with revulsion when she picked up Danny's photo, dropped by a sleeping Flo. Charlie came over to show her the story on Danny's death in the paper. He avoided her gaze as she tried to convince him she hadn't killed Danny, then with elaborate casualness he offered that many people likely had it in for Danny. Ada's suspicion that Sam killed Danny was by no means averted as she threw barbs at him. She remembered how much Liz hated Missy, but Sam hardly listened as she prattled on about remembering Katherine Corning who also used to come into the shop sometimes. Sam sweated as he remembered handling the gun, then recalled another woman had seen Danny after he left. He speculated that she'd worn dark glasses because she'd come to kill Danny. Liz came out of her own private brand of the galloping willies to answer the door to Fred, who was distressed to hear she'd lied to the police. Flo noticed when Madge tried to hastily whisk the paper away, then was sure Missy was guilty. Sam discounted Ada's idea that the woman was one of Danny's girlfriends.
