Plot Overview
Bill arrived at Pat and John's house in a flurry, insisting they needed to save Missy from Danny. John advocated sensibility when Bill warned he's liable to do something pretty wild. Bill agreed they could tell Lee of their plans, and they all decided to keep Lenore in the dark. Fred clued Bill in to the fact that Liz was very interested in his whereabouts that afternoon. Bill was reluctant when Fred suggested he and Lenore join him, Liz, Alice, and Tony at the swank new supper club, the Top of the Tower. At their table, all 6 toasted Bill and Lenore with champagne. Tony groaned when Alice felt sure Bill wasn't keen on marrying Lenore. As he danced like an automaton, Bill felt his eyes glaze over while Lenore mentioned asking Lee to be her bridesmaid. Lee blasted Pat for fixing things so Lenore will lose Bill, then astounded her by revealing she'd been in the park when Pat kissed Michael and told him she loved him. Lee refused to believe Pat's desperate insistence that nothing happened between her and Mike. Lee made her suffer by saying she hadn't made up her mind whether to tell John.

- Lee: I'm saying just what you think I'm saying. I'm saying that I know about you and Michael. Yes, Pat, I know everything.
- Pat: Oh, Lee, you're mistaken.
- Lee: Oh, no I'm not!
