Plot Overview

Louise told Rocky that Mac and Rachel were also married in secret. Mac worried about Rachel antagonizing Liz, but she vowed not to let Liz harass Beatrice. Carol was hurt when Willis announced he'd be having dinner with Alice rather than taking her to the party. Sharlene vowed not to let Willis destroy Alice to get Steve's business, but backed down when he phoned the hospital and threatened to talk to Russ. It upset Angie to have to tell Emma that Willis was involved with Carol now and she was engaged to Neil. Iris introduced Liz to Tracy. Robert phoned to tell Iris that he'd arranged to have Neil pick him up from the airport. Jim, whom Rachel had phoned, convinced Beatrice to accompany him to the party. Neil, who'd intended to take Clarice with him to the airport, realized he'd been out-foxed by Iris, who told him Karl will be picking Robert up. Angie, Neil, and Scott planned to sneak Clarice into Iris's den. Sharlene threw herself into Emma's arms and cried about Willis not letting her marry Russ by holding over her head the shameful things she did when she was grief crazy over Floyd's death. Iris dragged Liz over to congratulate Mac and Rachel for having survived their first year of wedded bliss. Mac introduced Rachel to Tracy. Before Iris could get Tracy to distract Scott, he took Clarice over to see Robert. Iris came right over to tear Robert away and tell everyone they had an announcement to make.
