American Experience (1988—) is the longest running historical documentary series broadcast on American television. The series is produced by WGBH in Boston for PBS, each episode chronicles a particular aspect of American culture which otherwise typically goes unnoticed (such as Emma Goldman or the stories of teenage hobos in the 1930s) in other documentary series.
