Allusions and References

  • Leave It to Beaver: Tony Dow's character – a Marine Private First Class – has a personality much like his character from the legendary sitcom. For instance, he notes his stolen car – just brand new and purchased hours earlier – had "only seven darn miles" on the odometer.
  • Sons of the Pioneers: The episode title is a play on the legendary country music group's song from the 1940s, "Cigarettes, Whiskey and Wild, Wild Women." (The SOtP's most famous member was Roy Rogers.)
