Popeye Meets The Man Who Hated Laughter was the fifth feature of the ABC Saturday Superstar Movie, airing October 7, 1972. It was produced by Hal Seeger Studios in association with King Features Syndicate.
Popeye enlists a shipload of King Features comic strip stars to help him thwart an evil scientist who, with assistance from Popeye's nemesis Brutus, is out to eliminate laughter throughout the world.
