Wonder Woman (1974) is a TV movie based on the comic book superheroine, which aired as an ABC Movie of the Week. Although intended as a pilot, it did not take off, and it is often reviled by fans of the character for its significant departures from the concept. A later attempt, The New Original Wonder Woman, starring Lynda Carter, was much better received, and it was that second pilot which launched the series Wonder Woman.
