The Show
The episode title, "The Outsider", takes on an odd light, as it was the name of a series which starred Darren McGavin. According to an article in TV Guide, Quinn Martin once threatened to replace Paul Burke with McGavin when he made an outrageous demand. Burke immediately apologized and was never a problem on or off-set again.
