XHDTV-TDT is the call sign for a full service border blaster television station in San Diego, California. The station is licensed to Tecate, and is owned by Televisora Alco. The station is located on channel 21 digital and 49 virtual (displayed on tuners). The station has located itself on channel 13 on cable systems throughout San Diego. It is the local sister station to Telemundo affiliate XHAS/channel 33.
XHDTV, launched on November 1, 1999 under the affiliation of UPN with the calls XHUPN, which were very similar to another UPN affiliated station with the callsign XHHUPN, now known as XHRIO-TDT under CW affiliation. The station had been broadcasting in English ever since the launchup up to 2018, and serves San Diego, California. It is required to play the Mexican national anthem every morning, and identify in Spanish for Mexico's Secretariat of Communications and Transportation (SCT). It became XHDTV (or XDTV) upon becoming a My Network TV affiliate. In 2018, My Network TV moved to the first subcarrier of CBS affiliate KFMB/channel 8 as secondary to the CW. XHDTV became affiliated with Mexican cable news outlet Milenio.
