Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) is an adventure drama program that aired on ITV. Randall and Hopkirk are two private investigators, with a struggling firm. They are working on a routine divorce case for Fay Sorrenson. When they find evidence of her husband's affair, she confronts him and threatens to cut him out of her will, so Sorrenson arranges for his wife to be killed. Marty finds out about the murder, and Sorrenson knows he has evidence of it, so he arranges to have Marty killed too. Sorrenson's plans take a weird turn when Marty later appears to Jeff as a ghost, only Jeff can see and hear Marty, which causes confusion when in company, but Jeff soon realises that Marty can be a useful ally on future investigations.
