It is revealed that when he was six year old he was helping out in his family store when his mother and father were shot to death in a burglary. It is also reveiled that he was adopted and took on his adopted family's last name.

he at one point used a defibrillater on a patient in a highly oxygenated room setting the patient on fire. In another instance he used a defibrillater on a wet patient instead of waiting for him to be dry (saying it could cause brain damage) and nearly shocked himself into a coma... sense than he has been named the official defibrillater.
