Frankenstein Jr. and The Impossibles is an animated superhero comedy that aired on CBS.
Buzz Conroy is a young inventor who created Frankenstein Jr. But as where Mary Shelley's literary monster was a corpse brought to life, Jr. is purely robotic. Together, Buzz and Frankenstein Jr. battle the forces of evil, with Jr. activated by a beam transmitted from Buzz's ring to an antenna on Jr.'s head.
The Impossibles are a trio of rockers who double as superheroes, presumably created to capitalize on the success of The Beatles cartoon on ABC. It may also be the result of a aborted plan entertained at the time for Hanna-Barbera to turn the Beach Boys into a Saturday morning cartoon.
