Plot Overview
The Doctor is free to roam space and time again, but having planned to visit Metebelis Three, the Doctor and Jo actually find themselves stowaways aboard a ship in the 1920s, heading for Bombay. The Doctor and Jo realise that they are actually trapped in a loop on a miniaturised version of Earth in which the other ship passengers endlessly repeat their actions. Having escaped from the ship, the Doctor and Jo find themselves stuck inside the workings of a giant machine. The Doctor is reunited with the TARDIS and now full size, but Jo is still trapped within the machine. When the Doctor meets the operators of the Scope he learms that Jo is in grave danger.
