Disney Junior is an 24/7 preschool-oriented basic cable network.
History
The Disney Junior brand premiered on February 14, 2011 when it replaced Playhouse Disney as the name of Disney Channel's daytime block for preschoolers. On March 23, 2012 it was relocated to a channel of its own, on the airspace previous occupied by SOAPnet.
