From The TV IV

Beany and Cecil is a remake of the 1960s Beany and Cecil show. It was produced by the DiC animation company under the directorship of John Kricfalusi (Ren & Stimpy). This new series ran only five weeks, canceled due to ABC interfering with the creative processes of the staff. The original series was syndicated nationwide in the fall of 1989.

Bob Clampett Jr. was a creative consultant for the show.
