A passenger liner within the Colonial Fleet. The first childbirth after the fall of the Colonies took place aboard the Rising Star. Ellen Tigh spent three weeks aboard the ship unconscious before she was located by Commander Adama. Galactica's chief medical officer, Dr. Cottle, was aboard the Rising Star performing medical duties at the time of the attempt on Commander Adama's life.
