It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is one of the several series FX produced in late 2005 on a limited season schedule. The series, along with Starved, features a darker sort of comedy that matches FX's other edgy shows like The Shield and Rescue Me.

The series revolves around four friends in Philadelphia, and, as it is in most sitcoms, wackiness ensues. However, the wackiness that occurs in this series involves a scheme to operate a place where underage kids can buy watered-down beer and going to abortion rallies to meet women. The friends are connected by their joint ownership of an Irish pub in Philadelphia, as well as their precarious judgment calls.
