Why did you remove the countries from the Programs page? Surely this is a quicker shortcut than having to go the huge list of programs under each category.... or perhaps have the 'Countries' category on the main page like you have done with each genre?? just a suggestion...--Alcatel 21:48, 1 February 2008 (EST)
[edit] Premiere Dates Cats
I've been giving some shows two different premiere dates if they had a movie/miniseries that premiered in a different year than the true "series premiere." Decade cats aren't usually affected because of the "two or more episides," although the movie itself would be in a different decade cat.
Quick example: I've got a TV show, "National Pastime," which premiered with a TV movie on October 11, 1999. The series started on February 16, 2000, and it ran until March 15, 2001. The series cats would be: 2000s; 2000; 2001; 1999 Premieres; 2000 Premieres; 2001 Finales. In the pilot movie itself, the cats would be 1990s; 1999; 1999 Miniseries and Specials.

[edit] Finale Dates
For scripted shows in the US there is generally going to be an up or down announcement because with the way the contracts work they have to make a decision quickly or it costs them money. Once they have decided to renew they want to sell ad time/subscriptions so they annouce it as soon as all the contracts have been signed and if they decide to cancel it releases everyone from the contracts so even without an official announcement it becomes obvious. With reality shows it is more of a grey area as sometimes they never get an official cancellation announcement. For network TV since they do an upfront presentation any show not mentioned then is automatically cancelled. Cable is harder to decide and your method could work with some exceptions if the show is highly popular and renewal is almost certain. Case in point Project Runway hasn't been officially renewed but its finale last week got its highest ratings ever so it is almost certain to have another season, if Bravo was thinking otherwise it would be big news. --The-jam 13:41, 10 March 2008 (EDT)
[edit] Disambiguation
When you use disambiguation you need to either create the main disambiguation page or put a redirect on it so that no one accidentally creates the page there later. Also so when someone links to it they don't get an unnecessary dead link. --The-jam 17:05, 19 March 2008 (EDT)
