The Mole (2001–2004; 2008—) is a competitive reality series based off the Belgian franchise of the same name. The series was originally hosted by noted journalist Anderson Cooper and broadcast on ABC. After the first two seasons were followed by two seasons of Celebrity Mole, hosted by sportscaster Ahmad Rashad. In 2008, as a result of the Writers Guild strike, the series was resurrected for a summer 2008 broadcast.
