The Fantastic Four (1978) is an animated superhero action program. It was the second series based on the Marvel Comics team The Fantastic Four. It aired on NBC. This particular series was infamous for replacing The Human Torch with H.E.R.B.I.E the robot. Although it was long rumored the reason for the change was so that kids wouldn't try to copycat The Human Torch, the real reason was because of copyrights issues as The Human Torch was to star in a movie at the time, although the movie was never completed.
