[edit] Biography
Callaway is a 4-Time WWE Champion with an undefeated streak of 15-0 at WrestleMania events. He started wrestling in late 1986 after being trained by Don Jardine, who competed as a masked wrestler by the name of The Spoiler. Callaway went to Fritz Von Erich's World Class Championship Wrestling, where he had many gimmicks (such as Texas Red, The Punisher, Commando and the Master of Pain) before going to World Championship Wrestling and the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE).
Callaway went to WCW in the fall of 1989 to compete under the ring name Mean Mark Callous. He teamed up with Dan Spivey in The Skyscrapers, replacing Spivey's original Skyscrapers partner, Sid Vicious (who was out due to injury). He was managed by Paul Heyman (AKA Paul E. Dangerously) for a while before he left WCW. Callaway arrived in the WWF as Kane The Undertaker, the mystery partner for Ted Dibiase's team, at the Survivor Series in November 1990. With his ring name later shortened simply to The Undertaker, he was later managed by Paul Bearer in early 1991. He won the WWF championship on November 27, 1991 by pinning Hulk Hogan. Following a face turn in early-1992, he feuded with Jake "The Snake" Roberts, defeating Roberts at WrestleMania VIII. At WrestleMania 13 in 1997, he won his second WWF title from Psycho Sid (the former Sid Vicious). In late-1997 and 1998, he feud with his on-screen "brother" Kane and former manager Paul Bearer.
In 1999, Callaway turned heel and formed the Ministry Of Darkness, feuding with some of the WWF's most popular stars (including "Stone-Cold" Steve Austin) before being forced to take time off due to an injury. In 2000, Callaway returned as the Undertaker with a new gimmick as a biker nicknamed the "American Badass". He lost a "Buried Alive Match" to Vince McMahon due to the interference of Kane. After taking more time off to heal injuries, Undertaker returned at WrestleMania XX with the return of his original "Deadman" gimmick and defeated Kane. He defeated World Heavyweight Champion Batista for the title at WrestleMania XXIII, but another injury forced him to quickly drop the title to Edge not long after.
Mark Callaway is considered by fans and Wrestlers as one the most respected and dedicated men in WWE history.
