This is the fifth episode of the second season of Life on Mars and the thirteenth episode overall. After suffering an accidental drug overdose, a still hallucinating Sam is called in from sick leave to provide a fresh perspective on a mother-daughter kidnapping case with ties to an older murder of a teenage girl.
