This is the first episode of the second season of Life on Mars and the ninth episode overall. A string of fatal muggings leads to a shady casino run by Tony Crane who Sam recognizes from the future. At the same time, Sam is plagued by visions of his future self lying in ICU and Crane torturing him there.
