The fourteenth season of Jeopardy! premiered on September 1, 1997. It ended on July 17, 1998.

Starting with this season, any champion who won five games won the Chevrolet car of his or her choice (Tahoe, Suburban, Corvette, or twin Camaros). Also, the show started taping some of its tournaments outside of their home studios in Culver City. For the November sweeps, the show taped the second week of its annual Teen Tournament and Power Players Week at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, DC. The May sweeps saw the annual College Championship taped at Zellerbach Hall on the campus of the University of California-Berkeley.
