[edit] Basic Information

Captain Cole "Stinger" Taylor was the CAG of the Battlestar Pegasus. Stinger appears to be a by-the-book, more or less humorless man, and he took an instant dislike to Apollo and Starbuck upon their reassignment to the Pegasus Viper wing by Admiral Cain, and had disdain for Apollo at least in part because Apollo was CAG on a ship commanded by his own father.

Stinger ordered Apollo to accompany him on a recon Raptor mission to the Cylon Resurrection Ship. During the mission, hostilities broke out between Galactica and Pegasus, and Stinger relieved Apollo of duty on Admiral Cain's direct orders. He allowed Apollo to go to the back of the Raptor, where he covertly contacted Starbuck aboard the Blackbird. For allowing Starbuck and Apollo to plot behind his back, Cain relieved Stinger of his duties as CAG and replaced him with Starbuck.

Taylor was later thrown in the brig by Commander Barry Garner for "mouthing off" at him.
